Our unique reverse double thread design allows
the control knob and valve stem to operate as if it were a one piece component,
enabling the user greater latitude of application. The Ultra High Density
Polyethylene control knob can withstand temperatures to 130 degrees.

• Item 500 Series Hi Vac Valves
The Original Encapsulated O-Ring design provides an excellent vacuum tight seal without exposing
any material other than Teflon to the contents of the system. SciMac's 500 series Hi Vac Valves
have 3 advantages that make them superior to all others on the market today. The Delrin Control
cap provides a permanent connection to the valve with a slight flexibility by means of a pin under
the top of the cap. Snap tight cap will withstand temperatures of 200 degrees. Like our original
Valve the primary seal is available of Teflon which is precision formed to match the taper of the
glass barrel. Valves are designed to be used in high Vacuum applications up to 5 x 10-7 Tore.
The 500 series 0-8, 0-12 and 0-20 valves are now tooled with a course thread, permitting the
valves to be opened at a quicker rate, while giving the barrel added strength.

Our Snap tight control cap High Vacuum Valves are designed to provide an excellent vacuum tight seal, the Delrin Control cap provides a permanent connection to the valve with a slight flexibility for ease of operation. The valve has PTFE plug with three Vition O-rings, the tip O-ring making the primary seal on the precision formed tapered seat. The Black UHMW double threaded control cap is removable allowing the plug to be placed in an oven.
Stopcock is designed so that only PTFE and Borosilicate glass are in contact with liquids and gasses. Our innovative Valve allows finer flow adjustment of liquids and gases by adjusting the pressure on the inner rubber core producing a tighter seal. The threaded stopcock comes complete with a 10mm OD glass Barrel.
SciMac’s Venting valve has been designed to be a vent or inlet valve for vacuum systems. Can also be used to construct AIRFREE® or Schlenk glassware in place of the standard straight bore glass stopcock. Our valve does not require any type of grease or side arm because the valve allows the contents to drain directly through the center of the Teflon plug. An integral serrated hose connection for attachment to the vacuum or inert gas source. The bore is 4mm with an 8mm OD hose connection. The primary seal is accomplished on the precision tooled seat with the shaft seal being made with our encapsulated O-Ring.
SciMac's Metering valve has an extended tip on the valve stem to allow needle like control of gases and liquids. The Teflon encapsulated O-ring design stem provides an excellent vacuum tight seal.
Metering Valve, High Vacuum, control cap & Straight Glass Barrel
The SciMac Drain Valve allows the contents of the flask to drain directly through the center bore of the plunger. Constructed entirely of Teflon, when closed the top of the plug seals flush into the lower drain opening of the flask avoiding any gaps that could collect sample material. The SciMac valve permits total mixing and when open complete drainage of the entire of the flask. The lower portion of the valve has a 6mm Inner diameter on the 12mm size and a 12mm Inner diameter on the 20mm size for attachment of flexible tubing to allow material to be transferred into a collection vessel. The 20mm size will allow solids up to 2mm in size to pass through and the 12mm size permits solids up to 1.5mm. The complete Valve consists of a Glass barrel, PFTE stem and Delrin control cap.
Our reaction Flask Drain Valve is designed with an extended tip which fills the seat area of your flask allowing total agitation of the content of the vessel. Constructed entirely of Teflon, when closed the top of the plug seals flush into the lower drain opening of the flask avoiding any gaps that could collect sample material. The SciMac Drain valve is constructed with the same encapsulated O-rings as our 400 & 500 series valves, and has an integral Teflon tip o-ring. Open by turning the control Knob to allow the plunger to release. The plunger Diameter corresponds to diameter of the lower drain in the flask. Available in 12mm & 20mm Glass barrel sizes. The complete Valve consists of a Glass barrel, PTFE stem and Delrin control cap.
